Belfast City Council is the Data Controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the personal data it gathers for the purposes of registering your interest in and contacting you about Employability and Skills initiatives.
The Council may appoint companies to deliver Employability & Skills activities on its behalf (such as Gateway to Choice). In such cases these companies will act in the capacity of a Data Processor under contract and instruction.
The Council must have a legal basis under UK GDPR to process your personal data and by completing this form you are providing your personal data on a consensual basis in that you have given clear consent for the Council to do so for a specific purpose. It is also necessary for the Council to process your personal data to perform a task in the public interest or for its official functions, and the task or function has a clear basis in law.
Personal data may be shared between Council staff who are involved in providing this service and between Council Departments with the purpose of supporting an effective delivery of service.
If you provide email addresses of colleagues to be added to our mailing list / Provider Network we are accepting that you have informed them that they will be added to our mailing list. Should they wish to be removed they can do so at any time.
Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any other organisation without your consent or unless the law places an obligation on the Council to do so.
Personal data is held and stored by the Council in a safe and secure manner and in compliance with Data Protection legislation. It is also held in line with the Council’s retention and disposal schedule.
