Community Planning: Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sectors

Belfast has a vibrant and active voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, playing a valuable role in the social, economic and environmental fabric of city life.

Following extensive engagement with these sectors in 2019, the Community Planning Partnership (CPP) is now implementing new arrangements to strengthen participation and representation of Belfast’s third sector in community planning.

New opportunities to get involved

Nominations needed for Sectoral Advisory Panel
The CPP is currently seeking nominations from organisations for individuals to represent the sector on a new advisory panel. The panel’s aims are:

  • to ensure that the sector’s voices are represented as part of the community planning process,
  • to develop and improve cross sectoral relationships and partnerships, and
  • to promote effective community engagement.

The nomination and selection process is being managed by NIVCA. Further information and an application pack (nomination form, selection criteria and guidelines and additional background material) can be downloaded from the NICVA website.

The closing date for nominations is 31 January 2020.
