Christmas Lights Switch-On

The Christmas lights were switched on at Belfast City Hall on Saturday 19 November by Lord Mayor of Belfast, Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile and special guests, including:
- Children's television favourite Justin Fletcher, star of 'Justin's House' and 'Something Special', who performed his new song 'Hands Up' (please note, Justin will not be appearing as the character Mr Tumble.)
- Postman Pat, who celebrates his 30th birthday this year and is about to star in his first movie, who performed a special mini-show to entertian the kids.
- Fireman Sam will performed a special mini-show. When a reporter comes to Pontypandy, Naughty Norman claims to be the local hero. Fireman Sam finds out but lets him take the glory; saving the day and teaching Naughty Norman the real attributes of being a hero!
- Pantomime dame, May McFettridge - who celebrates her 22nd consecutive year on the stage of the Grand Opera House when 'Jack And The Beanstalk' opens on 3 December
- Santa Claus
- Cool FM's Pete Snodden was our special guest compere.
Christmas Continental Market
The Christmas Continental Market opened at 12 noon on Saturday 19 November. It offers a stunning range of crafts, food and decorations from across Europe, and beyond.Santa's Postbox
Santa's Postbox is open in the grounds of City Hall from 19 November - 18 December. So local children can make sure they get their lists to Father Christmas in plenty of time for the big day!Every child who sends a letter will receive a personal response from the big man himself!
