Halloween Metro Monster Mash

There's something chilling in the air and there are some spooky goings-on as Belfast gets ready for its annual Halloween spooktacular!

The Metro Monster Mash will offer entertainment for the whole family, especially for all those younger witches and wizards!

Expect lots of laughter, family fun and ghoulish behaviour!

Halloween entertainment

Beginning at 2pm, the entertainment line-up will feature:

Parade girlband, fireworks and girl in Halloween costume Britain's Got Talent's Stavros Flatley and girl band Parade

Father and son act Stavros Flatley charmed viewers two years ago in ITV's Britain's Got Talent show with their comedy dance routine of the Riverdance.

Girl group Parade have supported Shakira in her UK Arena Tour and were also a support act for Alexandra Burke and Westlife in 2011. The five piece band's debut single Louder also reached the top 10 in the Official Charts this year.

Roadshow

A special roadshow will be hosted by Cool FM and Downtown Radio, including Breakfast Show DJ Pete Snodden with Kirstie McMurray and Drivetime presenter Gareth Stewart.

Diwali and Samhain celebrations

ArtsEkta will be exploring Indian and Celtic traditions, with magical performances from their South Asian Dance Academy, Carrickmannon and Tir na n-Og Irish Dancers, and take part in exciting Indo-Celtic arts workshops. Come in fancy dress!

Street theatre and activities for kids

Including an array of street theatre and walkabouts, breathtaking fire shows and face painting. The Belfast Talent School will also be performing.

Fireworks

The entertainment ends at 6pm with the biggest fireworks display in Belfast!

Travelling to and from the event

Free ghost bus

Translink Metro has organised free 'ghost buses' to whisk little ghouls and goblins to and from the event. The free shuttle service operates on a circular route from SS Moores in Chichester Street to the Odyssey and back to City Hall from 2pm – 7pm.

Car parking

Parking at the event will be restricted so please use the free shuttle bus service if possible. There is a range of private car parks and free parking spaces in Belfast city centre.

The Department for Regional Development (DRD) car parks in Charlotte Street, Corporation Street, Corporation Square, Cromac Street, Dunbar Street, Exchange Street, Frederick Street, Hope Street North, Kent Street, Little Donegall Street, Little Victoria Street, Station Street, Lancaster Street and Great George's Street, as well as the Eastside and Northside Park And Ride facilities, will be open and free to use.

There will also be approximately 1,200
free on-street parking spaces available in the city centre.

Please note that there will be no attendants or security staff present at any of the DRD car parks on Sunday 30 October so owners leave their vehicles at their own risk.

Traffic notice

People attending the event are encouraged to travel to and from the city centre by bus, and use the free shuttle service.

Motorists should expect large volumes of pedestrian traffic in the area around the Odyssey, and particularly in the vicinity of Donegall Quay, the Queen Elizabeth Bridge and Queen's Quay throughout the day, and especially in the early evening.
