Belfast in Bloom

It's that time of the year to make Belfast a city of flowers again.

All you need is a garden, window sill or front door. Cheer up forgotten flower beds, arrange a simple window box, or take part in a larger regeneration project.

2018 is blossoming into an exciting year for Belfast, especially as we are also hosting Britain in Bloom in October and we want to create a warm and friendly welcome to everyone who works, lives and visits here.

By taking part in our Belfast in Bloom campaign, you are also increasing our city's chances to be chosen for the Britain in Bloom competition.

Competition

Our Belfast in Bloom competition is open to individuals, groups, schools and commercial premises. Last year we added best kept school garden with four individual categories awarded for schools in the north, south, east and west of the city.  Due to its success we will continue this category again this year.

The closing date for entries to the schools category is 15 June 2018.
The closing date for all other categories is 20 July 2018.

Judging will take place during August 2018 and an awards ceremony will be held in October 2018.
