August Craft Month is Ireland’s unique celebration of the craft sector, providing opportunities for all to learn about, make, see and buy local craft.

Now in its sixth year and organised by Design and Crafts Council Ireland and Craft NI – the two national bodies for craft in Ireland – August Craft Month is an all-island celebration of our unique craft sector. August Craft Month celebrates craft in all its forms, from traditional to contemporary, through workshops, to demonstrations, to exhibitions and lots more for all ages and all levels. 

From Donegal to Dublin and Tyrone to Tipperary, creativity is coming to every corner of the island. With 450 events, and over 2,500 makers involved, this year’s programme is one of our busiest yet!
