Drop in for an event commemorating a women's march in 1956 against South Africa's pass laws.

On 9 August 1956, women marched to Union Buildings in Pretoria, protesting against the apartheid-era pass laws.

Mornington Community Project celebrates this key moment in women's history and the fight against racial segregation and inequality.

The event is free and open to everyone. The project is funded through our Bank of Ideas scheme.
