Belfast Castle Estate

The Millennium Maze is closed from Thursday 18 April for approximately four weeks for essential maintenance.

The park is home to Cave Hill Adventurous Playground, archaeological sites, visitor information area in Belfast Castle, ecotrails, walking and orienteering routes.

Getting to Belfast Castle Estate

You can enter the park through Cave Hill Adventurous Playground at Gray's Lane or Innisfayle Park. Take Metro no.1 A-H from Belfast city centre (Monday to Saturday) or no.1 C-E or H (Sundays), or plan your journey with Translink (link opens in new window).

Other attractions

The estate contains landscaped gardens, mature mixed woodland, a forest trail, an outdoor classroom and the Millennium Maze. It offers superb views of the city from a variety of vantage points. It is home to many different species of wildlife, including long-eared owls, sparrowhawks and Belfast's rarest plant; the town hall clock.
