Big Summer Wind Orchestra and Choir

Hundreds of musicians are due to gather in Belfast city centre on Sunday 21 June for a joyful public performance by the Big Summer Wind Orchestra and Choir, celebrating Make Music Day 2026.

From 11am to 1pm at 2 Royal Avenue, Belfast, the free event invites anyone to take part, whether experienced or completely new to music. Singers and wind players of all abilities are welcome, with no auditions or rehearsals required, and free sheet music provided.

The concert will feature popular, classical and folk favourites, filling the city with sound. 

The Belfast performance takes place alongside simultaneous Big Summer Wind Orchestra and Choir events in London, Falkirk and Aberystwyth, as part of a UK‑wide celebration for Make Music Day.
