This workshop looks at ways in which social inclusion should be promoted in areas of civic and economic life including education, sports and employment.

It will highlight the unique health and housing crisis facing POAD and look at positive actions.

The workshop is one of three sessions, running throughout Black History Month on the theme of Toward a more Equitable NI: Focusing on the UN declared International Decade for People of African Descent. Each session will use humour, poetry and conversation to open discussion around black history, equity, the history and diversity of our African and Caribbean Communities, barriers to inclusivity and the quest for the right to equality and non-discrimination.

Registration for the event is essential. To register, email goodrelations@belfastcity.gov.uk.

This event is part of our DiverseCity programme, exploring our diverse and shared stories and the communities, cultures and traditions that make Belfast.
