The Chinese Welfare Association will present their community’s past, present and future links between Belfast and the People’s Republic of China.
It will also be opportunity to see a showcase of talents from the Belfast Chinese community.
2021 is the Year of the Ox and we will watch a demonstration of zhezhi – the art of paper folding relating to the Year of the Ox. The traditional Chinese fan dance has been a part of China's heritage for over two thousand years and we will be treated to a performance by local performer, Weihong Tu. Our finale will be a special appearance from a Chinese Lion.

Our PEACE IV Culture Café events celebrate the diversity of multi-cultural Belfast. They focus on minority communities across the city and promote respect and understanding of these cultures. Each of our Culture Café events will focus on a different culture and their contribution to Belfast’s history.
