Belfast’s waterfront will be transformed into a vibrant celebration of sea, ships, stories and shared experiences at the Belfast Maritime Festival.
Stretching across the Maritime Mile, the festival invites locals and visitors alike to dive into a weekend of discovery. The iconic Titanic Quarter will be alive with activity, bringing together heritage, innovation and imagination across multiple themed zones.

- a host of entertainment from live music to captivating quayside street performers, live demonstrations and Downtown and Cool FM prizes, games and giveaways
- Hamilton Dock Maritime Village with hands-on exhibits, boat-building demos and a chance to see one of the last remaining SS Nomadic Lifeboats
- Science Street with exciting experiments and STEM activities that connect Belfast to the wider world through maritime-related science and sustainability for curious minds of all ages
- Slipways Street Food Market - a delicious celebration of Northern Ireland’s finest local flavours, bringing together food vendors and an Artisan Farmers Market where regional producers will be showcasing and selling their goods
- Music Trail at the Belfast Maritime Festival - a fabulous programme of live music with over 60 of Northern Ireland’s leading musicians performing at outdoor locations across the Maritime Mile
- a magical concert under the stars presented by Maritime Belfast Trust featuring Hothouse Flowers with special guests Ríoghnach Connolly and Honeyfeet
- the Queen’s Quay Kids’ Cove with arts and crafts, circus and dance and pirate play time
- a range of accessible and inclusive programming at City Sensations at City Quay Garden
- street entertainers and musicians animating the festival route, adding surprise and spontaneity as you explore
- Island Adventure Park - family-friendly exciting rides, including the panoramic wheel
- Fools by the Sea at The Arc with a range of circus performances
- pop-up public art

Belfast Maritime Festival is organised by Belfast City Council in partnership with Maritime Belfast Trust, supported by Belfast Harbour, Titanic Quarter Limited, Titanic Belfast, Department for Communities, Tourism NI and the Odyssey Trust. Our media partners are Downtown Radio and Cool FM.
Terms and conditions
- Access to vessels is dependent upon operational arrangements and tides.
- All vessels in port have the authority to restrict items permitted on board.
- Belfast City Council requests that patrons assist in creating a shared event space -therefore, we reserve the right to restrict access to its events if it is deemed, by the council, that a patron is in breach of this position. Belfast City Council also has a duty to ensure various equality rights are protected under S75 of the Northern Ireland Act, and reserves the right to restrict access to events should a patron be behaving in a way that is likely to constitute a breach of these obligations.
- No alcohol is permitted in the public event space other than designated licensed bars.
- Food and refreshment facilities are available on site at Titanic Slipways Street Food Market, pop-up vendors across the site and retail shops and cafés at The Arc, Odyssey and City Quays.
- No barbeques or naked flames.
- Once on site you assume all risk of injury and all responsibility for property loss, destruction or theft, and release organisers, sponsors, performers, venue, and their employees from any liability.
- No dogs, except assistance dogs, in food areas and all dogs must be kept on a leash within the event site.
- Cyclists should dismount and push their bicycles when accessing the public event space if busy with patrons.
- Charity collections, leafleting and other promotional activity not authorised by Belfast City Council cannot take place on site.
- Professional photographers who operate for public facing media are not permitted to operate within the event space without obtaining permission from Belfast City Council and providing details of their official accreditation alongside contact details.
- Please be aware that Belfast City Council will have an official photographer onsite. If a specific image of an individual or a group is the focal point of a photograph, you will be asked for your consent to use the image and to complete a form in line with the General Data Protection Regulation/Data Protection Act 2018.
- Belfast City Council has the right to refuse entry to those under the influence of alcohol and who would be deemed by the organisers to be a hazard to themselves or others.
- Belfast City Council reserves the right to make any alterations to the advertised details for the event .
