Rose Fair returns to Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park with a packed programme of country and western-themed fun for all the family, along with thousands of award-winning blooms on display daily in the stunning City of Belfast International Rose Garden.

Admission is free. 

Rose Fair highlights

  • Flower show in the Rose Marquee, showcasing winners and participants in the 60th Rose Trials, daily from 12 noon to 5pm.
  • Food vendors offering delicious treats, from 11am to 5pm daily in Wilmont House Gardens.
  • Kids' Zone with carnival rides, arts and crafts, lawn games, face-painting, walkabout acts and magic shows, daily from 12 noon to 5pm in the playpark and Wilmont House Gardens. 
  • Harp music with Ursula Burns, from 1.30pm to 4.30pm daily, in the Rose Garden.
  • The production stage will feature:
    • musical theatre hits from Fortwilliam Choral society, including sets from Oaklahoma and Calamity Jane on Saturday and Sunday,
    • performances from Trim the Velvet, combining ballet and traditional Irish dance on Saturday and Sunday,
    • a Dolly Parton tribute on Friday,
    • local country singer Georgina Richmond on Saturday, and
    • jive, line and waltz dancing lessons on Friday and Saturday.
  • Tempting food demonstrations by award-winning chef Will Brown on Friday and Saturday in Wilmont House marquee.
  • Musical performances by Aaron Jamieson on Friday, Robin Martin and the Outlawz on Saturday, and Fiddler Adam and Gavin Gribben on Sunday in Wilmont House marquee.

Judging of the City of Belfast International Rose Trials takes place at the park on Friday 4 July.

How to get to the Rose Fair

We have two main car parks located at Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park. In addition to this, during Rose Fair we open Katie’s Field (located beside the Wilmont House) and the top field as an overflow car park.

We encourage visitors to travel by public transport. You can take Ulsterbus number 24A (departs from Great Northern Mall in Belfast city centre from Monday to Saturday only) or use Metro number 8 A-C (departs Donegall Square East in Belfast city centre).
