Summer Rose Fair returns to Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park with a vibrant array of activities for all ages to celebrate the summer, along with thousands of award-winning blooms on display daily in the stunning City of Belfast International Rose Garden.

Admission is free.

Highlights include:

Rose Marquee

Flower show, showcasing winners and participants in the 59th Rose Fair trials – daily from 12 noon to 5pm.

Wilmont House Gardens

Food vendors offering delicious treats – daily from 11am to 5pm.

Pergodas

Craft stalls and market traders – daily from 11am to 5pm.

Playpark and Wilmont House Gardens

Kids' Zone with carnival rides, arts and crafts, lawn games, face-painting, walkabout acts and magic shows – daily from 12 noon to 5pm.

Rose Garden

Harp music with Ursula Burns – daily from 1.30pm to 4.30pm.

Walled Garden

A tranquil Wellness Oasis – daily (all activities are first-come, first-served):

  • Yoga on the lawn – daily, 2pm to 3pm and 3pm to 4pm
  • Reflexology – daily, 12 noon to 5pm
  • Indian head massage – daily, 12 noon to 5pm
  • Storytelling with A Place to Wonder – daily, 12.30pm, 1.50pm and 3.15pm

Production marquee

  • Musical theatre hits from Portrush Music Society, including from their upcoming production of Beauty and the Beast – Saturday, 1.45pm to 2.45pm and 4pm to 5pm and Sunday – 12.15pm to 1.15pm and 2.30pm to 3.30pm
  • Performances from Trim the Velvet, combining ballet and traditional Irish dance – Saturday, 12.30pm to 1.30pm and 3pm to 3.45pm and Sunday, 1.30pm to 2.15pm and 3.45pm to 4.30pm

Wilmont House marquee

Live music from local bands and artists:

  • String Ninjas – Saturday, 12pm to 2pm
  • James Huish and his band – Sunday, 2.30pm to 5pm
  • Concert bands – Daily, 6pm to 8pm

Tempting food demonstrations by award-winning chef Will Brown – Saturday, 2.30pm to 3.15pm and 3.45pm to 4.30pm and Sunday, 12.30pm to 1.15pm and 1.30pm to 2.15pm.

Judging of the City of Belfast International Rose Trials takes place at the park on Friday 19 July.

How to get to the Summer Rose Fair

There are car parking spaces at Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park, or you can travel by bus on the Metro 8A -C service. You can plan your journey with Translink (link opens in new window).
