Maritime Festival

This September, Belfast’s spectacular waterfront will be transformed into a vibrant celebration of sea, ships, stories and shared experiences as the Belfast Maritime Festival makes its much-anticipated return.

Stretching across the Maritime Mile, the festival invites locals and visitors alike to dive into a weekend of discovery. The iconic Titanic Quarter will be alive with activity, bringing together heritage, innovation and imagination across multiple themed zones.

Activities include:

  • historic vessels including La Malouine, Leader, and Vilma for you to step aboard and explore
  • Hamilton Dock’s Maritime Village with hands-on exhibits, boat-building demos and a chance to see one of the last remaining SS Nomadic Lifeboats
  • Science Street with exciting experiments and STEM activities
  • Slipways Street Food Market - a delicious celebration of Northern Ireland’s finest local flavours, bringing together food vendors and an Artisan Farmers Market where regional producers will be showcasing and selling their goods
  • music by local and international artists
  • a special Saturday evening ticketed concert under the stars
  • a Kids Zone outside the SSE Arena
  • an accessible and Inclusive Zone offering quieter, welcoming spaces with sensory programming and inclusive performances
  • street entertainers and roving musicians animating the entire festival route, adding surprise and spontaneity as you explore.

Belfast Maritime Festival is brought to you by Belfast City Council in partnership with Maritime Belfast Trust, supported by Belfast Harbour, Titanic Quarter Limited, Titanic Belfast, Department for Communities and Tourism NI and supported by the Odyssey Trust (links open in a new window).
