A Newtownabbey man has been sentenced at Belfast Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 3 March 2026, following his conviction for an offence involving a dog attacking another dog.
Belfast City Council took the prosecution against Paul Quinn of Collinbridge Road, Newtownabbey after reports that a collie type dog being walked off lead attacked and injured a labradoodle in the car park at Belfast Zoo on Thursday 20 March 2025. The injured dog sustained injuries to the shoulder and stomach.
Mr Quinn received a fine of £200 for the dog attack with legal and court costs of £130 and an additional £100 compensation.
