Join us for a botanical illustration workshop.

It will be held during this year’s Autumn Fair. Set amongst the rainforest of the Tropical Ravine, the workshop offers participants the opportunity to immerse themselves in our plant collection and learn the basics of watercolour-based botanical illustration.

It is designed for beginners and will explain:

• the history of botanical illustration
• the Victorian heritage of Belfast Botanic Gardens
• detailed instruction on how to create your own Victorian-themed illustration which you can then bring home to display.

As autumn begins to unfold, this workshop provides a serene environment to connect with nature through art.

• There are two workshops on both Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September.
• The times are 1.30pm to 3pm and 3.30pm to 5pm.

• These workshops are best suited to those over the age of 12.
