    Microsoft Excel is a tool designed for storing and analysing numerical data as well as creating striking presentations of your data with charts. The course entails creating new or modifying existing spread sheets. Creating calculations to perform statistical analysis and designing charts to present the results.

    Goals

    1. To show how and where Microsoft Excel can be effectively and efficiently availed of as a useful business tool.
    2. To develop and improve the users understanding of working with spreadsheets and the various ways spreadsheets can be formatted.

     

    Objectives

    After completing this course you will be able to:

    1. Open Microsoft Excel
    2. Open existing documents and create new documents
    3. Enter, edit and delete text
    4. Select cells and format information
    5. Insert new rows into the spreadsheet
    6. Create formulae
    7. Make use of the auto fill feature
    8. Format the appearance of the spreadsheet including text, cell sizes and alignments and placing borders on cells
    9. Adjust print settings and print the spreadsheet
    10. Add text boxes, and comments to cells
    11. Cut copy and paste information
    12. Import worksheets into your spreadsheet
    13. Linking worksheets
    14. Other functions within Excel
    15. Create charts
    16. Format charts
    17. Freeze columns and rows.

    You will be able to complete all of these course exercises using Microsoft Excel.
