Belfast's Jewish community and contribution to the city will be celebrated in another of the council’s popular PEACE IV Culture Café events this month.
The Culture Café events showcase different cultures in Belfast, in particular, minority communities.
This free online session will take place on Wednesday 16 February from 12 noon to 1.15pm.
It will take a look at Jewish heritage reflecting on the experiences of a Jewish family in Belfast, the challenges and achievements of the community and look at Jewish customs, cuisine and music.
Among those speaking is Steven Jaffe from Belfast Jewish Heritage.
Councillor John Kyle, Chair of Belfast City Council’s Shared City Partnership, said: "Our Culture Café events celebrate the diversity of multi-cultural Belfast. They shine a spotlight on minority communities promoting a respect and understanding of the different cultures and communities that exist in our city.
“Signing up to this free event on 16 February will give a real insight into our wonderful Jewish community in Belfast.”
The PEACE IV programme is an EU funded cross-border initiative supporting peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland and the border region. The programme is financed through the European Union and managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).
