Car parking and access pass

Alternative car parking arrangements are in place for residents living in the pedestrian zone. These residents can contact The Traffic Management Company, who we've appointed to manage essential access for the zone.

Residents will also need a vehicle access pass to move in and out of the pedestrian zone.

Bin collections

If you live within the pedestrian zone, you or your apartment management agent should have received a letter about changes to bin collections during the Fleadh.

Household bin collections

Bins due to be collected on Monday 3, Tuesday 4 and Thursday 6 will now be collected earlier on Friday 31 July, between 7am and 3pm. We will also have an extra collection on Tuesday 11 August to allow for these changes.

Our normal service will resume from week beginning Monday 17 August.

Leave your bins at their usual collection point during these times.

Bryson recycling collections

Bryson recycling collections scheduled for Monday 3 August will now be collected earlier on Friday 31 July. Present your recycling at kerbside as normal by 7am.

Your Eurobin and food waste collections scheduled for Friday 7 August will continue to be collected on this date. Please present these at kerbside as normal at the earlier time of 4am.

Residents living near Ormeau Park and Titanic Quarter campsites

There are two official Fleadh campsites as part of the event:

• Ormeau Park for tents only, and
• Titanic Quarter for camper vans, caravans and roof box tents.

A dedicated community liaison officer and hotline are in place for residents living near to Ormeau Park who have any concerns about noise, litter, parking or other issues.

The hotline number is 073008 66444.

It is operating:

• 24 hours a day until Sunday 9 August, and then
• 10am to 5pm from Monday 10 August to Sunday 17 August. 

Campers will also get information about the local area to encourage them to explore what’s available, take part in local fringe events and be considerate of residents during their stay. 

All other residents

We will be collecting bins as normal outside of the city centre.

Communities will also be key to the Fleadh experience, with events in local neighbourhoods and projects funded through our Bank of Ideas scheme.

Businesses

Volunteers

Over 1,300 people have signed up to be volunteers at the Fleadh, including many residents.

They will be vital to delivering the event by

• welcoming visitors
• supporting competitions, and
• encouraging people to dispose of litter properly and helping people to get around Belfast. 

Registration for volunteers has now closed, with sign up for the 2027 event due to open later in 2026.

Council services and facilities

Most of our council services and facilities will be open as normal throughout the event. 

Many venues including Belfast City Hall, 2 Royal Avenue, Ulster Hall and ICC Belfast will be hosting Fleadh events.
