Belfast Stories is supporting communities to tell their stories ahead of the landmark public space, visitor experience and creative hub opening in 2030.
Applications for small grants of up to £10,000 and project grants of up to £30,000 closed on 14 April 2026.
There were 10 grants of up to £10,000 available.
This grant is to support cultural heritage projects and is an investment in both an organisation and individuals within it.
The organisation will be supported to explore cultural identity and expression as a community of place, practice or interest through a story-based initiative.
The grant can be used for project management, engagement activities, project planning and delivery.
In addition to the grant funding, a nominated individual (or individuals) within the organisation will be given an opportunity to develop skills according to their needs.
There were five grants of up to £30,000 available.

Projects under this strand are required to also include a creative partnership between a community-based organisation and a culture or arts organisation, or individual artist or collective of artists. A lead partner must be identified for the purposes of acting as the grant recipient.
Projects are expected to explore cultural identity and expression through a story-based initiative that also includes a creative response or output.
Grants were open to not-for-profit Belfast-based community groups and cultural organisations which have been formally constituted and have a bank account in their name. Applications from collaborating groups were welcome, where there was a lead applicant responsible for managing the grant. Funded projects must be delivered in Belfast.
