A free online webinar focusing on community recovery from COVID-19 will take place on Tuesday 30 June at 4.30pm.

Dedicated to the community and voluntary sector, and the general public in the communities they serve, the event will focus on future strategies as we work together to rebuild and recover following the pandemic.

The webinar will include a panel discussion with Council’s Party Group leaders and Strategic Director of City and Neighbourhood Services, Nigel Grimshaw, and will be facilitated by John Mulgrew (Ulster Business Editor).
Lord Mayor of Belfast, Alderman Frank McCoubrey said: “The impact of Covid-19 on individuals, families and communities right across Belfast has been significant and we have been working closely with a host of community and voluntary partners as we move towards the first stages of recovery.”

“Our community sector continued to carry out amazing work throughout the pandemic, coping with many challenges along the way. This webinar event will provide the opportunity to fully discuss the challenges that have been faced, lessons that have been learned and how we now focus our attention on rebuilding communities throughout Belfast.”

“Communities are at the heart of our city and together, they have demonstrated the full spirit of the city during this unprecedented time. Their recovery and future success will build a better Belfast for future generations which is why the conversations on recovery must happen now.”
