Children get a chance to boost their literacy and numeracy skills, which often drop over the summer break, ahead of the move to the ‘big school’  at the WBPB Transition School. In addition, they learn life skills such as meeting new people, and coping with new, bigger environments.

The Transition School takes place annually in St Mary’s University, Falls Road and students from the university work alongside teachers to take the classes
