Belfast’s history and heritage is a source of local pride. It provides a sense of identity and belonging as well as supporting educational, cultural and economic wellbeing.
Heritage plays a key role in our ten-year cultural strategy, A City Imagining. We are committed to protecting, promoting and using cultural heritage in all its dimensions. Our Cultural Multi-Annual Grants scheme also includes investment to support heritage and events.
If your work involves Belfast's heritage, we'd love to hear your views in our survey. The survey is open to heritage organisations and people working on heritage-related projects in any capacity.

Belfast City Council is the Data Controller under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) for the personal data it gathers for the purposes of administration and management of your subscription to receive emails from the Culture Team about our projects, initiatives or latest news.
The Council accepts that you are providing your personal data on the basis of consent and are positively agreeing for the Council to hold and further use it.
The personal data may be shared internally within the Council with staff who are involved in administering and managing the Culture Teams mailing lists. Your personal data will not be shared or disclosed to any other Council department or external organisation without your consent, unless the law permits or places an obligation on the Council to do so.
The personal data is held and stored by the Council in a safe and secure manner and in compliance with Data Protection legislation and in line with the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.
