Peace and Reconciliation Action Plan
Introduction
We have been awarded £6.3 million under priority 1.1 of the EU Peace III Programme. This programme supports peace and reconciliation and runs from 2008 to 2010.We have written a Peace and Reconciliation Action Plan which gives a profile of the Belfast City Council area, an analysis of the local situation and our vision for the city in terms of good relations.

Allocation of EU Peace III funds
We have set up a Good relations Partnership which will be responsible for allocating funding from the Peace Plan to a range of groups and organisations in Belfast.If you are involved in or are planning any projects relating to the four main themes in the Peace Plan you may be eligible to apply for funding.
The four main themes are:
- securing shared city space
- transforming contested space
- developing shared cultural space
- building shared organisational space.
Peace projects: Small grants applications
Apply for funding in the Peace III Small Grants Programme 2008 - 2010.Funding allocations
The amount of money available to us to allocate through small grants is £850,000 which is fifteen percent of the total allocation of Peace III funds through the Peace III Programme.Good Relations Partnership
