Request help with your bin or box collection

  • Request help with your bin or box collection

We can help if you're physically unable to leave your bin out for collection, and collection and have no-one to help you.

With our free assisted bin lift service, we will take the bin from your property, empty it and then return it to your home.

To apply, email [email protected] or call 028 9027 0230.

    After you apply:

    • We'll assess your request and decide if you're eligible. This can take up to two working days.
    • If you are eligible, we’ll add you to our assisted bin lift register and let you know.
    • Once approved, it can take up to four weeks for your assisted bin lift service to begin.
    • Assisted lifts remain in place for one year and will discontinue if not renewed.

You should make sure there is safe access to your bin or box. Please unlock any gates and keep paths clear. We might need to designate a specific location where you must leave your bin or box for us to collect.

We review assisted bin lifts every year. If you no longer need an assisted bin lift, tell us by email [email protected].

  • Braille on bins

We can provide people with visual impairments with tactile plaques for their bins. These can be attached to your bin or box so you can tell the difference between them.

To order tactile plaques, email [email protected] or call 028 9027 0230.
