  • Changes to procurement law

Procurement legislation is changing. The Procurement Act 2023 (link opens in new window) will become law in February 2025. This will change the way we can procure supplies, services and works.

    Procurement information, guidance and support

To support preparation for the changes, the Cabinet Office has published guidance covering subjects from transitional arrangements to pre-market engagement, award, exclusions, and contract modifications.

The Procurement Act 2023: A short guide for Suppliers (link opens in a new window) sets out key benefits and steps that suppliers can take to get ready. It also lists frequently asked questions and provides a link to register for regular updates for
go-live webinars and ‘how to’ videos.

The Central Digital Platform - factsheet (link opens in a new window) includes information on how the current find a tender service (link opens in a new window) will be updated to include new functions and features of the Central Digital Platform (CPD). All above UK threshold procurements suppliers will be required to register or re-register and enter their organisational information. The factsheet includes information on support available for the required registration process.

  • Integrated Quality and Environmental Policy Statement

As part of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO)/ Integrated Management System (IMS) and to integrate sustainability into procurement, we have produced a Integrated Quality and Environmental Policy Statement which sets out our commitments to sustainability.

As a supplier, your contribution and your environmental performance has a major influence on our environmental impact. We believe that suppliers who effectively embrace environment concerns are making an investment which will provide a long-term competitive advantage.

Our Social Value Procurement Policy outlines the approach we are taking to integrate sustainability into the procurement of goods, works and services to optimise the economic, social and environmental benefits in line with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015.
