Sports pitches, pavilions and facilities
Our sports pitches and bowling greens are open to allow squad training and competitive outdoor sports to take place.
The maximum number of participants, including coaches and support staff is limited to 500 people and the maximum number of spectators is limited to 500 people.
Pavilions and changing rooms will be opened to provide access to essential toilet facilities only. Individual toilet facilities will open, subject to the completion of water testing and Legionella compliance.
Multi use games areas (MUGAs) are open. Up to 10 people (including children of all ages) from a maximum of two households are allowed to take part in outdoor exercise or sports activities. We encourage everyone to adhere to public health guidance when visiting our facilities and follow social distancing rules.
The Cycling Track at Orangefield is open.
Our outdoor gyms, tennis courts and Bridges Urban Sports Park are open to the public.
Mary Peters Track is also open to the public. Visitors must book before attending.
City of Belfast Golf Course and Ormeau Golf Course are open to club members only.
Our Better leisure centres are open except Loughside Recreation Centre. This remains closed until further notice.

St George's Market
St George’s Market is open.
Smithfield Market is open.
Our community centres are open for bookings in line with current coronavirus (COVID-19) public health advice.
You can make a booking enquiry by phoning or emailing each community centre directly.
Belfast Castle and Malone House
Malone House (link opens in new window) and Belfast Castle (link opens in new window) are closed to the public.
These venues are not taking new bookings at present. You can email Belfast Castle at email@example.com or Malone House at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss any current bookings. If you're attending an event in Belfast Castle or Malone House, you must show COVID status certification when you arrive.
City Hall is open for critical services such as the registration of births, deaths and marriages. The City Hall Exhibition and The Bobbin café are closed. City Hall public tours are also not available.
2 Royal Avenue is now closed.
These venues have reopened to the public with restrictions.
Our parks are open. But it is important that everyone observes social distancing in our parks.
Our ParkLife Saturday clubs are postponed.
