Commercial filming and photography
Belfast Zoo offers spectacular views of Belfast and Cave Hill and is home to some of the most endangered animals in the world. Our location is a unique site for films and photography.
You must have our written permission to film or take commercial photographs in the zoo.
You must submit in writing an application for filming or photography at the zoo at least 20 working days before the proposed date. You must also provide a risk assessment form, a copy of your public liability insurance and advance payment of any fees.
These hourly fees are valid until 31 March 2024:
- TV productions, commercials and small films, £67
- commercial photography, £25
Exceptions may be available with prior agreement for news related current affairs or as part of an educational course. Large-scale projects may be subject to additional charges.
Belfast Zoo may be unable to accommodate your filming or photography request for operational reasons.
