Team-building corporate packages

Would you like to boost team morale, make memories together and make a difference? Our corporate packages provide an amazing blend of fun and rewarding socially-responsible activities. Corporate volunteering and Corporate team-building and rewards packages are now available at Belfast Zoo.

Corporate volunteering day

Our corporate volunteering day gives organisations the opportunity to lend a helping hand at the zoo while providing a unique way to fulfil your social responsibility goals. The activities for the corporate volunteering day will vary to fit the needs of the zoo during your visit. Some examples of work completed by corporate volunteers in the past include:

  • planting flowers
  • painting around zoo site
  • making animal enrichment
  • creating a hedgehog garden
  • putting bark in a sun bear paddock
  • barking and removing trees
  • fixing giraffe enclosure scenery
  • weeding enclosures
  • cutting leaves, twigs, or other high-growing vegetation for elephants, giraffes, monkeys, chimps or gorillas
  • trimming greenery around the zoo
  • staining wooden picnic benches

Working in enclosures is guaranteed as all volunteers will wear steel toe cap boots. We cannot guarantee that you will have direct contact with an animal. The corporate volunteering package will provide your employees with a unique hands-on out of office volunteering experience.

This package is available for a minimum donation of £150. This donation will go towards one of the zoo’s 11 conservation projects. Corporate volunteering is limited to five to 15 volunteers per session.

Corporate team-building and rewards day

The corporate team-building and rewards day will offer a fun-filled day out for organisations of all sizes. This package will provide participants with a unique, hands-on experience and includes:

  • an interactive meet and greet session with the zoo’s education animals. This will allow participants to get up close and personal with our educational animals and ask our team questions.
  • creating animal enrichment for one of the zoo’s species. This can range from making scarecrows, creating feeders, wrapping presents, painting eggs, creating animal crackers or making cardboard animals. This activity will depend on what animal enrichment options are available during your visit.
  • a mini zoo tour on the way to the animal enclosure which you have created enrichment for.
  • an interactive self-guided zoo trail with a prize for the winner.

This package lasts approximately three hours and is limited to 10 to 30 staff members. The cost is £30 per person. When the session ends, participants are welcome to stay and enjoy the zoo at their own pace.
