We are getting ready for an egg-stra special Easter at Belfast Zoo with a bunch of free family-friendly activities on Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 April including:
- face-painting
- sensory touch tables
- walkabout characters
- Easter trail
Your little monkeys can get busy with sensory touch tables and face-painting. Walkabout characters will also be around to pose for photos and make little faces smile. Families can follow a fun Easter Trail around the zoo to find out more about our newest additions, bunnies and which animals lay eggs. All completed trails will be entered into a prize draw to win ‘zooper’ prizes! Kids can hop over to our fantastic outdoors playpark. Located beside the lake, with stunning views looking up to the peak of Cave Hill, this is the perfect spot for all the family to rest and play during a wild day out exploring the zoo.
Our indoor café, the Lion’s Den, will be open and roaring to go every day over the Easter break. With kids’ meal deals, freshly prepared sandwiches and salads as well as a range of hot meals, they have everything to ward off the hungriest of bears!
Snacks, ice cream and hot drinks are also available at Treetops Tearoom and the ice cream kiosk located beside the lake. Plenty to refuel you after a day of exploring! Strike a pose at our photography basecamp for a special memento, and pick up a perfect present in the Zoovenir shop.
But most of all, enjoy seeing 120 species of animals including our baby Western lowland gorilla, tiny coppery titi monkey and vicuña calf!
From Wednesday 20 April to Friday 22 April visitors will also have the opportunity to meet some of our education animals up close at 11.30am and 2.30pm. (Please note, due to unforeseen circumstances, visitors will be unable to meet the education animals on Friday 22 April as previously advertised.)
